Awesome Dancer makes a conscious effort to keep things simple and enjoyable for students and families alike.
Every decision we make regarding our teaching staff, class times, uniforms, events and production revolves around the enjoyment of our students while not over complicating the process for families.
Awesome Dancer only hires teachers with a passion for teaching children who are committed to getting to know their students each week, building a relationship with them and fostering a love of movement to music through dance.
Classes are run at times that are suitable for busy working families, class styles are combined negating the need for multiple trips to the studio per week, leaving students free to pursue other activities.
Uniforms are simple and affordable and don’t unnecessarily change from 1 level to the next.
Instead of exams and competitions we hold in house events and community performance opportunities supporting friendships within the dance school and strengthening community engagement. Annually a disco, movie night, choreography competition and local fete performances provide plenty of opportunities for building new relationships, encouraging creativity and creating exciting performance opportunities.
Our students’ work towards our end of year production which promises to be a wonderful performance and night in the theatre for families and dancers alike without an exorbitant price tag and endless rehearsal hours. With our dress rehearsal taken care of in the studio during class times we are able to keep our rehearsal on stage to a short 30 minutes for our preschool dancers and 2-3 hours for our primary and secondary dancers.
Our combination style classes ensure that your dancer will be featured on stage not once but 3-4 times, showcasing multiple styles and costumes. Dancers only need to supply dance tights and shoes and we will do the rest making sure they feel fabulous and comfortable in industry standard costumes and you can sit back and enjoy the spectacle.
Although we promise to showcase each student multiple times, our annual performance only runs for 2.5 hours with our preschool dancers only required for the first half and our primary and secondary dancers for the duration of the performance.
