Little Ones Class Structure
When you jump into class with our Little Ones who are our oldest preschoolers aged 3-5, be prepared for a fun 45 minutes of colourful props and movement to everyone’s favourite music from movies, t.v shows and pre school groups. Our Little Ones start with an upbeat song to get their bodies moving. They then move onto some basic stretching and isolations to help with body awareness and balance. We love to break up our sections of the class that require lots of concentration with a game or free dance so our pre-schoolers have the chance to express themselves. Then it’s time to learn some basic ballet technique and practise our travelling steps like skipping, galloping and marching.
At the end of the class we work on learning and practising our concert dances. The Little Ones get to learn two dances in the styles of Jazz and Ballet. We love giving our preschool dancers the opportunity to learn a combination of jazz and ballet in their class which in turn gives them the ability to be on stage twice at our end of year concert.
