Youngsters Class Structure

When you jump into a class with our Grade 3 to Grade 5 Youngsters you will start with a cardio warm up, after a chat about what has happened during all of our days of course. Lots of jumping, skipping and galloping all together or perhaps a little circuit in a small group. We then move onto stretching all of our muscles for the dancing ahead. We also work on isolations of the body to help with hip hop technique and a little bit of basic ballet. From the centre of the studio we move to the corner to practise some of our travelling techniques like turns, kicks and jumps. From there we move onto learning our concert choreography. During the year we learn three different dances in the styles of Jazz, Hip Hop and Ballet. We love giving our dancers the opportunity to learn three different styles of dance in one class which gives them the ability to be on stage multiple times during our end of year performance.

At Awesome Dancer our classes are full of fun, laughter, love and positivity. Our teachers create a beautiful relaxed environment for our students to foster their love of dance.
